Grammar ~ Conditional III Practice

I was very glad to receive some submissions of some past exercises on the conditional sentences lately. However, I noticed that more practice is necessary for you to feel comfortable with this grammatical point. Therefore, today I added a new exercise for you to check your knowledge. Please find it at the bottom of the Conditional III page.

This is the most complicated type of conditional, and I would encourage you to do this exercise when you have a minute. I will personally correct it for you and send an email to advise you of your result.

Writing ~ The Magic Image

As part of our new angle on the use of image in writing, today we continue with another truly magical example of the types of image a writer can use to enchant his/her readers. Please find this on The Magic Image page. We shall continue to look into the details of various other types of images a writer can use, depending on his/her style and chosen genre.

English for Travelling ~ Beginning an Invitation Message

In issue 91 of our e-zine, I made a suggestion that we could slowly look into ways of using our English for various stages of a holiday. Starting from an invitation, followed by a description of your place, suggestions for activities and places to visit, we are now beginning that journey together.

Find the first stage of an invitation, including an opportunity for you to also practise this, on the English for Travelling page. In our next issue we shall continue with our vocabulary sessions for travelling purposes, as this is a strong interest among our students.

This is it for now, my friends!

I hope you find this information useful and not too confusing. Even though you're at the stage of building on it, have patience at this point in your learning and you'll be able to reap the fruit of your work later on, whichever aspect of our lessons you are concentrating on.

Please feel free to comment and suggest your ideas by replying to this email - I look forward to hearing from you. If you wish to chat either with me or with other members worldwide, go to My English Club .

All the best from me until next time,

Lucia da Vinci

Founder of My English Club
