Until I'll have the time to write my e-books from these courses, you can enjoy our past lessons for free, as follows: Grammar ~ Expressing AmbiguityPlease find this topic outlined on the Expressing Ambiguity page. We have touched on it previously and I am sure we shall further expand on it in the future. I hope you find it useful in your English practice. Writing ~ 'Worrying' Your WritingIt may sound odd, but I hope this gave you an inch of curiosity. Have a look at what I mean on the Worrying Your Writing page. So far we have gathered some ideas about the powerful words we can use in writing. Now we need to add some practice to the theory, otherwise you won't be able to use it well in real life. Here is an examples this time, as promised.
Game of the Week ~ Using Your English for WorkThis is the continuation from our last contact through this e-zine, when I mentioned I shall introduce a new project to you. Thank you very much to those of you who did get in touch since then. You made me so glad to realise that you are still following the lessons and I'm not just wasting my time here. It's refreshing to know :-D Now, let me tell stir your imagination a little bit further today. Those of you who remember my efforts to keep in touch with my friends during my two years in China, you will be aware that I created the website From China, with Love . It is sitting there gathering dust, for the information is getting more and more obsolete by the day. However, I haven't cancelled my hosting fees, because I had a great idea about it, which I mentioned to some of you in Suzhou. I am planning to wipe the old page off altogether and start a new one, in a new format - this time promoting your products from China, those of you who would like to use this as an opportunity for publicity in the West. This could be a new way of you using your English for working purposes, with which I can help you through the pages of this website - through our English Club, as we do have the "Working Time" section. The final version of your marketing material, together with your product photos would then be inserted in the other website and proactive marketing of your products could start once your pages function well. I wonder how many of you would like to take advantage of this idea and endeavour to collaborate. Go ahead - just answer to this e-zine with your perspective on the above. In the meanwhile, I shall write about this in the "Working Time" section of our English Culb website. This is it for now, my friends!I hope you find this information useful and not too confusing. Even though you're at the stage of building on it, have patience at this point in your learning and you'll be able to reap the fruit of your work later on, whichever aspect of our lessons you are concentrating on. Please feel free to comment and suggest your ideas by replying to this email - I look forward to hearing from you. If you wish to chat either with me or with other members worldwide, go to My English Club . All the best from me until next time, Lucia da Vinci Founder of My English Club |
