Yet again, and as last time, I am sorry to disappoint you with such a long delay in sending out this issue. A lot of things happened since we saw each other last time and the roller-coaster hasn't stopped rolling so far. I am still awaiting for events to take place and for decisive facts to unfold, before a final decision can be taken as to the next step in my work, as well as in life. Nevertheless, our e-zine must continue to be issued, and this tenth issue brings you the developments of the past week, as follows:

14 - 20 July 2014 - Another Challenging Week Flying By

The bad news is that my Internet connection is switched off in my house in Vera and I depend on other people’s connections, only available to me when visiting friends.

My journey, as you know already, was not without adventures, but I made it safely to my home in Spain – I slept in my own bed last Saturday! Bliss as it was, I then had to start working on some banking matters, bills and other legal issues at this end, hoping to resolve everything before I return to China next week. I am right in the middle of doing this, obviously losing all my chances of taking those long-lost siestas….

However, the other great aspect of being here is that I did see my good friends, one by one and the joy of this is indescribable.

Just yesterday I got to John’s house and I found the door open in his absence - he went for lunch with his daughter son-in-law and granddaughter. I went in and I took a nap on his sofa, thinking that he’ll get back from where ever and find me there, just like Snow White in the house of the seven dwarfs. So, it was … I was so sorry for having my eyes closed when he show his surprise on his face. Nevertheless, the friendly hug and the welcome kisses more than compensated for the loss of image.

Another good plan to surprise another friend is to wait for him until he returns after his working contract in France this Friday, when his boss will invite him to a bar, where he won’t suspect I’ll be present, ready to ask him “what kept you so long?!” I couldn’t find him on the phone, nor at his home, but I finally spoke to his boss (who was also shocked by my unexpected appearance at his office yesterday) and we’re preparing to lure him into a group outing at the local bar.

What can I tell you with regard to my next contract in China? I will teach a little bit, but mainly I will busy myself with opening a Western style kindergarten centre and develop this until the company will be ready to expand by opening other centres in the future. I cannot comment more on this side until I have everything clear and the contract signed – we are still in negotiations at the moment.

The plan for my next step is to travel to Barcelona to see my brother, then to London to finalize my new contract negotiations, sign it and return to Suzhou for my next assignment. I would hope to be able to organise Open Day at this Kindergarten to which I’d wish to invite you all this autumn.

Other than this, I am very eager to receive news from your side, as to how you are progressing with resolving the problems you are having at Web. I hope you will be able to inform me of good results. I look forward.

Please, rest assured that I do get to read your emails, even if I don't have the time to answer every one properly, with all these interviews and official emails, which take priority nowadays. I am going to reply to you all from my brother's house in Barcelona, if that's OK.
